Over the treatment period, we found that both doses of monacolin K significantly reduced LDL cholesterol levels—26.46% with the higher dose and 16.77% with the lower dose.
While we saw some positive results relating to cholesterol reduction, the slight benefit attributed specifically to the coenzyme Q10 was not clearly defined, as it was part of a combination treatment. However, importantly, no severe adverse events were reported, suggesting that this supplement approach is safe for mild high cholesterol management. Overall, our findings suggest that lower-dose monacolin K combined with these natural extracts can be a helpful option for those looking to improve their cholesterol levels.
